Historically used for family farming and orchards in 1800's to early 1900's, it has since been used for depositing waste material, i.e. construction and demolition debris, scrap metal, drums, tires, garbage, car parts, propane tanks, oil bottles, and ACBM (Asbestos Containing Building Materials from 1963-2011). Currently, it is fenced off since 2015 and no further dumping has been observed.

JMT of New York has completed a phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) to determine site characteristics, soil and monitoring well sampling as well as a most recent, ABCA (Analysis of Brownfields Cost Alternatives).
